Introduction to Cebu sex Nightlife:
 

Some part company with Cebu when it comes to its nightlife activities. It's certainly no Angeles City with full on, wall to wall Go-Go's/Show Places. And its not a Manila with GoGo's, Freelance joints, and whorehouses in abundance, either.

People most probably would not refer to Cebu as the' Pearl of the South' if it was blatantly a red light district as say Angeles is. Even so, there is adequate pussy available, even though it is spread out, all over the place. Fortunately taxi drivers are pleasant and trips from one place to another are cheap compared with Manila and Angeles (trikes). 

Overall, my description of Cebu City would be : It's spread out a bit, slow paced and nice. Angeles is compact,  fast paced and sexy. Manila, spread out, fast and sex opportunities everywhere you go.

You will note some  places listed below are currently closed. Left them on website for time being as they might re-open in the future.

Bear in mind the average monthly salary in Cebu is around Pesos 5000/8000. So Pesos 1, 500 is more than enough for an all night encounter. Normally Cebu Go-Go bars make you pay a Bar Fine of around P1600/1700, which is an all up fee. Includes bars cut and girls cut (half). No more to pay. Next morning you can tip the girl P2/500 if you like, but this is not obligatory. Casa's/Whorehouses are P2500 and up. So before you give the girls the equivalent of one weeks wages or more, make sure you have got something of value. Some Go-Go Girls will meet you during the day for P1000 Short Time. Only thing is, don't let Mama-san find out, or the girl is in real trouble.

As you know by now, not an abundance of GoGo's in Cebu City. Neither Angeles or Manila can be beaten in that respect. Thus you can have a break of sorts from your gogo 'meat inspectors' duties when in Cebu City. But not totally, there are some GoGo's as listed further on. 

Same precautions, as with other go-go's, whether it be Angeles or Patpong (Thailand) or wherever. And don't think just because Cebu is laid back, and provincially friendly, that all is well with your bar chits.

So, here are the main Go-Go Bars, in no set order.

Note :In Cebu City you normally pay bar fine and girls tip up front at the bar. Consequently sometimes Cebu girls have a bit of an attitude after getting in the room, cause they have got all the money up front already, apart from a possible tip the next morning.  In Cebu a tip next morning is dependent on whether you think she is worth more than you have already paid back at the bar, the night before. If so, give them P200/500 tip next morning. No P1,000 tips, think of the poor buggers working in the rice fields P200/300,  for 10hrs of back breaking work in the hot sun. 

Average Prices - Your Drink .. P80  ; Ladies Drinks, P150 or more , depending on where you are; Bar Fine - P1700/1900 approx, for LT, which includes everything, and paid before you get out the door, and so you have to make clear what you are paying for, eg Long Time (LT) or Short Time, with both the girl and the mamasan together, before you leave the bar, to avoid 'misunderstandings' the next morning. Angeles City has a much much bigger selection of girls, much bigger and P1200/1500/1800,  and up to P3000 bar fines in some cases ... everything included. Angeles City for GoGo Bar/Dance Show Place action, not Cebu City. Note : Bar fines might have escalated recently. 

Paying up front has its dangers of course. The girl knows she has got the money already and thus her performance might be lacking. Pays to spend some time with the girl beforehand back at bar and check her out. Cebu has a not so great reputation for girls doing a runner after only one shot. Doesn't happen every time, but can happen.

Suggest you start at the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church) GoGo area in Gen Maxillom Ave (aka Mango Ave) :

To get there just say "Vikings Bar Mango Ave" to taxi driver.

There is a standout Church with tall spires called, 'Iglesia Ni Cristo' in Gen Maxillon Ave (aka Mango Ave). If you were standing on the same side as the Church and look across the road you will find in following order (can change without notice) : Left to right ... Viking Mango, BG's, Eric the Red, Planet X, and finally "Sisters". Now, standing on Viking side of the road and looking across to the other side, you will find, left to right : Pussycats, Dimples, Love City and Papillon.

NOTE : These kinds of places fall in an out of favour, on a regular basis. Suggest you pop your head inside the door and have a quick peep. Only step inside and buy a drink if you like what you see. Think you will like the bars on the Vikings side of the road. 

Vikings aka Midnight Sun Bar for hookers 'n lookers :
  

Located in Mango Ave, On the opposite side of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church. Reports about this place vary a lot. One thing is consistent there are usually some 'honeys' here. Some say back home in the hotel room the girls are not value. That would not surprise me, knowing who is controlling the business. Quite often experienced punters go there perv on the bodies and lively atmosphere but do not bar fine. Have a look and see what you think. Possibly the better looking bodies reside here, day in day out. Very subjective though, your honey might be waiting for you across the road at eg Pussycats.

Prices, see above 'Average Prices'. Waitresses in Vikings BarFine for P3000, nothing less. Other girls standard price (see above) Before placing money down make sure it is for all night. Confirm this with Mama-san in presence of girl, if possible. Ladies Drinks are P150 nowadays. Make sure a girl does not order a 'double' (P300). Watch your chits/bills and make sure there are no 'misunderstandings' before you bar fine the girl. Same applies to all other GoGo's listed here.

Overall, I suspect this is now rated as one of the better GoGo Bars in town for a drink and perv. For take out and all night performance, that could be a different matter. Cebu gogo girls can be 'cheats' (do runners after 1 pop). But at same time, I have also heard good reports about girls performance, suppose it depends on how you go about it, or  if your "hansum" or not : )

BG Bikini Bar, also for Hookers  (next to Viking Mango Bar .. Vikings) :

BG Bikini Bar next to Vikings  : Supposedly newer girls, same owner. Waitresses in BG Bikini BarFine for P3000, nothing less. Other girls standard price (see above 'average prices') One should check both of these out, even if only for a few mins. Check them out before any other bars. Good gogo bars not easy to find in Cebu City. Angeles City for that : )

Next to BG is "Eric the Red" GoGo bar. Think owned by Vikings owner.... Waitresses in Erik the Red, BarFine for P3000, nothing less. Other girls standard price (see above 'average prices')

"Planet X" Bar (formerly Hot Rod Bar). Large bar. New owner etc. Worth a 1 beer survey at least. You might like it. 

Then "Sisters" GoGo Bar, next to Planet X Bar. Receiving negative publicity about it. Girls pushy for LD's (Ladies Drinks). Even so, worth a peep in the door, you never know, negative  info might not be correct etc  : )

Check this side of Mango Ave out first. It's the happening side. Start with Vikings, then head towards "Sisters" buying one drink in each, then backtrack to the one you like, take a hot hooker, bang her brains out all night : ) PS : They dont have many brains, so that's easy : )

Temptations : Before you step across the road, have a look down to your right and you will see a gasoline station, turn into that street (Jakosalem) and down on your right is another bar called "Club Temptations", for the curiously inclined. Not worth the walk in my opinion : )

Red Lips : Same side of Mango Ave and a little distance away towards Fuente Osmena (Mango Square direction), that is to the left  , is another new one called  "Red Lips", down the laneway between 'Yellow Cab Pizza' and Vienna Cafe, on Mango Ave. At the end of small alleyway, on left hand side. Rumour has it lots of local officials hang around here = I would avoid, you just might upset them in some way, and end in strife. 

Now, back at Viking bar area and on the opposite side of the street to Vikings etc,  is of a lower priority. Here they are : 

"Pussy Cats", formerly : Club Stars, then, Exotica, now Pussycats : ). Constant change of owners/name is never a good sign : ) Make sure everything clear re prices before you commit yourself. Worth one drink, you never know, your sweetheart might be there waiting for you. Make sure Ladies Drink is a single and not double, at this place  : )

Also next door and on the same side of the road as 'Pussy Cats' are : Dimples BF P3000 ; Love City BF4000 and Papillon BF3000. Think you can safely give these places a miss. Can't recall any positive reports ever. Aimed at non European clientele (Asians).
 

Lone Star Go-Go (pay for play hookers) - Exiting say Pussy Cats, turn left, walk a few short metres, then turn into first street on your left, F. Manalo St, same street as Eddies, aka, Beverlys Boutique Hotel (see Hotel Accom in Basics notes). At end of Manalo there is T junction, turn right into Queens Road. Lone Star is a few short metres down on your left. All up 3/5 mins walking from Club Stars/Mango Ave. Some folks might not like walking down Manalo and walking into Queens Rd, they both look a bit dark and spooky. I have done it, didnt feel terribly comfortable, but nothing happened : )

Enough guys say the girls there are worth checking out. Overall I would say its reasonably popular with the guys. More popular than 'Pussy Cats' for example, but that isnt saying a lot. P1700 all up (Bar Fine and all night Girl). Sometimes, if known to the management/girl, your asked to pay P700 barfine and then you pay P1000 next morning to girl. Other times you pay P1700 at bar and everything is paid for. Do not pay more than P1700 is my suggestion. For me, negative vibes in this place. Plus spooky walk too : ) Might be different for you. Update : Heard yet again, another report owner told guy to "Either bar fine or get out". Aggressive, owner can be aggressive, at times. But same bar is popular with others. 

Alternatively, after checking out Cebu's mini GoGo scene (Mango Ave bars), you can (a) walk along what I consider safe Mango Ave (lots of vehicular traffic for example) to Mavericks bar below, a 10/15min casual walk or (b) catch a taxi in Mango Ave (aka, Maxillon ) for around P40/45 to Mavericks Bar. Update : Street robberies, by small time petty thieves, currently occuring on Mango Avenue, in the area of Mango Square (see Mango Square info below too). Suggest catch a taxi nowadays. 

Mavericks Bar and Grill (hookers who play if you pay) : 

Formerly called Silver Dollar bar, and now under management of Lone Star bar owner (see info above) as MBG. Taxis still know it as Silver Dollar Bar. 

Longest established expat catering go-go bar, with a variety of owners and reputations. In Osmena Blvd, short walking distance (2 mins) from Robinsons Dept Store (Fuente Osmena area). Cockroaches running around the floor are as old as the bar : ) Close to Crown Regency Hotel in Osmena Blvd. It's in between both those buildings (Robinsons and Crown). MBG is located uptown, so your safe. If a taxi driver doesnt know it (as Silver Dollar Bar), he doesnt know Cebu City. Reportedly starts 11am, you can be sure their best girls are not there then. At MBG, regarded as an early starter, quite sure at 8pm they will have their better girls on deck. But with Mango Bars 9pm start would be closer to the mark. MBG plays around with Bar Fine prices, just as Lone Star does. Expect P1700 all up fee with a modest tip of P200/500 to girl next morning, if service good.  Prices might have increased lately. Beer P80 , Ladies Drink P180.

Quality of girls here can vary with ever changing management. But as the oldest running gogo in Cebu, despite numerous owners and names, worth a peek in the door, at least. Watch your chit/bill here and every other place. 

 
Blue Angel GoGo Bar (another sex supplier)  ...

Before closure, and in case it re opens, I wrote :

North Escario Street, behind Cebu Grande Hotel. Sign at side of road. Relative newcomer, friendly owner, reasonably good atmosphere, pool table etc, so they say. Good reports coming in. Worth a peek. Note : These new places (Est'd early 2010) can go broke within 6/12 months : ) Update : Jan 2011 closed, no more. 

There is a new Stripes Bikini Bar somewhere nearby, in Escario St. Reports coming in .... 'no good'. Update : Confirmed, still 'bad vibes' place apparently. Update2 : Worth avoiding, place no good.  Also a "Silver Dollar 2" bar on Escario which even though new is already showing signs of closure : )

Overall : As you can see lots of change of management, prices, quality. Do not expect too much, Cebu City is not a GoGo town, Angeles City is the GoGo town of the Philippines. See separate website page for Angeles info.

Down Town Mini Go Go sex Scene :

Filipino/Native Go-Go Bars are different to the expat orientated ones cause they usually have a small regular stage and the guys sit at 'kitchen' tables perving on the average looking babes. If your extremely lucky you might run into a 'new' girl with a nice body/attitude etc., but mostly you've got 'heavy' troupers who've been doing it for a while. Normally, no pole, or pole dancing as we know it. The chances of trouble from drunk Filipino's is minimal if you behave yourself.

These dance places are located in the Palaez and Sanciangko Streets area. Start early around 8pm at the Palaez/Sanciangko corner. Pimps will approach you in the streets all night long, just ignore them , they only have manlnourished and sometimes underage girls. Do not trust them with anything looking under 18, could be serious trouble for you (set up). At a guess there are about 10/12 native dives (dance places) in this area. My advice is : be out of the area by taxi (dont walk out) 12 midnight, if on your own. Seedy, sleazy, but an experience of sorts  : )

'Show' Places for sex with Hookers too :

1. These are normally expensive places and poor value, mostly catering for those with a big spender mentality. You pay for the relative posh (?) atmosphere and expensive dresses the girls are wearing. Good perv spots if you do not get involved in too many expensive Ladies Drinks. Best is not to get involved in Ladies Drinks till you've seen all the girls on offer. Get one you like best at your table, buy one or two Ladies Drinks, then secretly slip your cellphone tag to her for a rendeszvous next day. This suits her, as she is free to be bar fined by some full paying sucker that night, then before she starts work next day she can come and ST with you. You will save unnecessary expenses, and she will make extra money (day light shaggin). Make sure management does not see you slip cell number, which you have pre-printed and on the ready at all times. ST with one of these girls next day would run into P1500, pos P2000 if stunner (unlikely). Do not talk price, bang first and see if she's a star fish, P1000. She's got no come uppance, she's not supposed to be shaggin without her employer getting a cut : )

Dont forget, some of these girls think they are 'movie stars' and thus do not perform very well in bed. All the more reason to road test her without paying an official bar fine fee (P4/6000 ?).

POPULAR :

Popular and well known by taxi drivers : Infinity and Arena (Reclamation area). Where you will pay around Pesos200 entrance (see Update below), P300 to P600 for Ladies Drink (LD), P110 or more , your beer. Bar Fines can be around P6000 (all inclusive fee). But girls at these places will expect a substantial tip eg P1000. And even then you can end up with a starfish. Best modus operandi .... 1. one LD's only 2. Slip cell number secretly 3. Daylight shaggin P1500 all up , short time (2/3hrs) max. 

Arena : P200 entrance, P30 service charge each time you pay chit. They get you to sign chit if you do not pay at time of consuming = cheaper than paying the P30 service charge for each and every order/drink. Beer P110 or more , Ladies Drink P300 if Cebu girl, P600 if Manila girl. Ask beforehand re your choice. Example, could be trick eg "Oh that one is Manila girl" when in fact she is a Cebu girl etc. Also the mama-san might appear and say she gets a LD too (P300). Query it before you order anything. My rating of girls there ? I'd say most of the dancing girls are 7's, some are 8's. The other long dressed , non dancing girls are 6's in the main. 

GRO told me "can not bar fine girl" ie take girl away. Doubt if thats true. Dont know why she said that. VIP rooms upstairs, at a premium (never asked), where you could grope etc at a price. Doubt very much you can have sex with girl on premises. But there's always exceptions. Offer your phone number and ask her to call next day your hotel, before she starts work for a discount price, maybe P1500 one pop, one hour max at a guess. If me and hot for a girl, I would call at Arena, at least two nights and buy at least two ladies drinks per night, get to know the girl, get her to like you, THEN proposition her re calling at your Hotel. Think a  lot of them will not even do that. Some will agree to your face but not call.  They are attractive girls (dancers) who would have boyfriends/husband/sponsors in background methinks, and make enough through high Arena salary, tips, LD's etc, ie, do not have to have sex with strangers. If she thinks your keen on her and thus long term possibilities (sponsor, whatever) she might call at your hotel for a price .... say P1500 or more,  for one pop.

Before visiting Arena, I used to hear barfines of P6000, maybe GRO said no barfine for me, as plenty of Koreans around and if girl goes with Westerner, eg me, then maybe spoils their image/market. Dont know. Thats why it would be P1500 for one pop (private arrangement), these Arena girls are in actual fact , P3000 kind of girls , going for P6000. That's why. I'd never pay P6000 bar fine.  Titillation, decor, surroundings, classy clothing , make them look 8's. Skimpy gear, erotic/fantasy style dance routines etc, plus beer, elevates their price, in some punters mind, lol. 

Infinity is small by comparison, but think bar fining is more likely there and for less than Arena (?). Dont go before 10/11pm. I called rather early and place was empty. Classy chicks there, I am told. Not cheap compared to GoGo Bars. 

Jaguar, a big player, is currently closed by the authorities, claims of under age girls there, and so might not be allowed to re-open any time soon. Believe they are not willing to pay the excessive bribe to re-open. Update : Still closed. 

2. Ramos St (near Fuente Osmena, roundabout).........

Just down from Robinsons Department Store and Summit Circle Hotel, that is, close to the corner of Mango Ave (Maximillon Ave).

Use to be about 3 bad value Show Places here. Now, I see only one, wrote name down but forgot it. Four/five letter word. On same side of Ramos St as Robinsons, close to a house type restaurant, set back from the road. No one, repeat, no one talks about the place, so you can be sure its hardly worth visiting. High prices for girls you can find elsewhere for less etc. Example, Mango Ave GoGo Bars (info above), J.Ave disco girls (info below).

Freelance Hookers for cheaper sex  :
 

Cebu City is not the greatest place to find freelance ladies. It's not like Thailand in that respect. And its not Manila, which has a much bigger Freelance scene. Cebu's is almost non existent by comparison. Although, you can get lucky sometimes and score a regular girl (not a freelancer/hooker). You have to prowl in a taxi to find the odd p4p one standing on a street corner. Cost you a bit in taxi fares and doubtful you come up with someithing decent, and safe to bring back to your room (theft). 

Don't forget ....slip it on dong, slip it on (condom) with foot loose and fancy free, non medically checked Freelancers. A dose, is the least you can expect : )

Disco Action : If I was hunting for a hooker via Disco's, I would give first preference to "J. Ave" then Pump1 (see below). There is not much hooker pick up potential after them.

J. Ave Is in Mango Square entertainment area. Set back, on Mango Ave (aka Gen. Maxillon Ave). P100 entrance = first drink. 11pm starts to take off, goes to early hours of the morning. All taxi drivers should know it. Currently the most popular pick up disco in Cebu. Bar area outside door  , good place to check talent entering. Thurs Frid Sat are the biggest nights (as at most disco's : ) 1/2am onwards girls working elsewhere, front up at J's. Some of them are 'lookers' from GoGo Bars and maybe even places like, Arena, Infinity  etc (see above). There is a mix of good girls and hookers in this place. Be wary how you approach girls. Usually hookers give you the eye. Also be on the alert for trans-sexuals here and rest of Mango Square, and just about everywhere else in the Philippines (and Thailand .. more so).

Currently J's and Pump1 are the best disco prospects for a pick up. Always be sensitive to the fact that you might be targeting a non hooker, and maybe her boyfriend is in the disco somewhere, eg at bar or toilet etc. Tread warily. Even the hookers themselves do not like being approached as if they are hookers. Not hard core like Thailand (Phils).

Alcohology Disco ... is also located at Mango Square , and not far from the much more popular J. Ave disco. 

Pump1 Disco : Less hookers at Pump1  than say J's mentioned above. Even J's is a mix of good girls and hookers too, especially say before 1am. Generally the hookers will give you the eye. If you do not like the excessive noise at Pump 1, you can sit outside where there are girls too (mostly korean when I was there) but first spend a few mins inside secure someone and take her outside away from the noise and smoke. Location of Pump1 : off Cardinal Reyes Ave, side of Cebu Grand Majestic Hotel. Every taxi driver should know it. Just say "Cebu Grand Majestic, Cardinal Reyes". Facing hotel, entrance is to the right, and around the side  M-F ladies free, guys P50 on off nights (M-W only ?) P100 'on' nights (Frid and Sat for sure, and maybe Thurs too). P50 SanMig. Prices might have varied by the time you get there. Lot cheaper and slightly more effective pick up place than Sunflower (below).

UPDATE : One trip on Frid and Sat nights 90% koreans. Next trip 6 months later 90% filipinos. Worth a visit.

Sunflower Disco (next to no Hookers nowadays)  - Every taxi driver knows this place, just say "Sunflower Lahug" and you'll be right. Lahug is pronounced 'La-hoog' and is the suburb Sunflower resides in.

CLOSED .... Rumour says its closed. Whole area is going to be re-developed. That makes sense, valuable land in the right place.

Halo Disco - also in Mabolo, not far from where Paseo was located. Check taxi driver knows it before hopping in his car.Update : Never hear it mentioned nowadays, either closed, or lost popularity ? 

The Loft - in IT Park, near Waterfront Hotel. In the Skyrise building. Friday and Saturday nights only. All taxi drivers should know it. Hookers in short supply here. Difficult for a pick up.

Budo's/Udos Disco - Think you can forget this one.

For the curious : Pronounced Boodos/ 'Oodoos'. Maybe it has changed its name to 'Vudu' nowadays ? Location : Crossroads Entertainment Complex, quite a taxi ride out from the city itself. Taxi drivers seem to know it. Haven't been there for yonks, so following info might be out of date ..... Smallish disco, no entrance fee, hence full of virgins : ) Seriously, pick up potential here is very limited. You can find a girlfriend/potential wife here, but can you find a fuck ? Expect the good girls to have a male friend or brother chaperoning them, or at least to be with one or two girl friends. The chances of one of them going home with you on the night you meet is remote. Dont go there for a quick pick up, its unlikely to happen. Everyone talks about Juliana's Disco nowadays, see above. UPDATE : I have now visited Budo's/Udos (Vudu) again. Middle class/rich people. They do not need you or me. Forget it.

Street Hookers for cheap and risky sex   -

Forget street action in Cebu City. Extremely limited and of terrible quality. Davao City for a much bigger street scene (quality still not great though).

There is the odd lady of the night working the streets. Usually they are of poor quality and a security risk (valuables - room) . Walk up Osmena Blvd from Rajah Place Hotel (formerly Park Place Hotel) at Fuente Osmena (small park at centre of the roundabout) and at the second traffic lights North you might see a half a dozen gals parked on the corner. That is, the corner of Sta Christina and Osmena Blvd (also called Jones Avenue) P3/500 ST. A Pimp will pop up out of nowhere and take the money. Give pimp P300 only, and in the privacy of your room give the lady P200 tip and everyone is happy. Cheap sex, eh . Some will stay all night for only P5/750 all up. They do not come from a casa/brothel and thus have more flexibility re price and what they can and can not do. There were only two good ones there last time. Further along Sta Christina at the corner of J. Luna I was approached by young attractive ladies (2), offering themselves for P400 short time. They had no pimp, cutting costs, not willing to pay a pimp anything : ) P300 is the right price for these girls too.

UPDATE : Did a 1 hour or more 'crawl' in taxi, roughly same as in reconnoitres years before, very little on offer, and high percentage were transvestites posing as women. You can take a window seat at Shakeys Pizza (Fuente Osmena) eat a pizza, drink draft beer and try and score a girl passing by on the footpath, if you've got nothing better to do (long shot) : )

Alternatively, take a walk down Mango Ave/Maximillon Ave to the National Book Store area. Believe there is some hokey pokey going on in that area too nowadays. Personally, I have never seen any sign of it. Possibly and overflow from the Mango Square area (nearby). Beware of transvestites : )

Downtown : University of San Carlos - Corner of P. Del Rosario and Junquerra Streets. I've often heard tales of university students propping outside of the University at night seeking customers. These 'students' or anyone else for that matter, are not always there, and the ones I always see there look more like Jonquera type of girls, no education etc and therefore not 'students' at all. Pimps and gals have found that if the girls are called 'student', some mongers get excited and open up their wallets. In my opinion genuine students are not found this way. Anyway a significant number of girls you meet will tell you they are a 'student'. It's a scam to raise the price and excite certain people who like to fantasise about screwing 'students' : )

Conclusion : I asked well informed persons (Filipino's) re pay for play students at University San Carlos, day or night time, and they just laughed. Students do not sell themselves from street corners. They sell/hire via contacts, who are quite often gays. Enough said : )

Shoe Mart Shopping Mall  -

This is a Shopping Mall, just like Ayala above (see info above).

Same modus operandi as Ayala above, only I find girls here seem to be younger, less educated types. I doubt very much if they expect to be picked up at the Mall by a foreigner. Many are under age too. Better looking and right age (18-25yrs) girls at Ayala. Atmosphere different at SM too, not a "pick up" atomosphere : )

Downtown shops in Colon Street are suffering from the competition of huge shopping malls like Ayala and SM . But, you have a better chance of a pick up in these downtown shops, especially with the staff, much better. But myself, I have gone 'up market' mentally and cannot suffer the working class scene of Colon St, and dirty streets etc. A new guy should have a chance in Colon St. Ayala and Shoemart are aloof by comparison.

Fort San Pedro - and the Park it is located in . Downtown, and not far from the Wharf area.

Note : I think you can call this area, a long shot at best nowadays. Check out on a Sunday afternoon only, and see what you think.

This area can make for amusing frivolities. Sundays 2pm onwards and into the evening there are some Housemaids etc strolling around here, hoping to meet a Filipino boy friend. Beauty Queens are not in abundance, nevertheless I know a guy who scored two cuties at this place. Two mins walking distance from Eddies Log Cabin (closed on Sundays) and normally not an area to be in at night, but there should be a Police presence in the Fort San Pedro on peoples day - Sunday. It seems this rendeszvous spot has replaced Fuente Osmena/Park Circle meeting place, opposite Garwood Hotel, which has been dampened to almost extinction by the authorities. Girls other than Housemaids, seeking romance, also frequent the San Pedro area. Working class girls or unemployed girls, nothing 'classy' struts around Fort San Pedro, Sundays or any other day. Also, the picture of the girl on the Internet is not necessarily the pic of the girl you are writing to. Add to that, the person you are communicating with might be a man using some pretty girls photo to scam you.

So beware of these angles. My guess is 80% are genuine, but watch out for the exceptions : )

I do not have much personal experience via the Internet but know enough to suggest :

1. Make contact only 2/4 weeks before you arrive in Philippines. Otherwise you might be on the receiving end of too many hard luck stories and requests for money. "Location : Manpark Road, Del Pilar Street, Guizo, Mandaue City (Phone 3444 229). Cellphone (Liza, Owner) : 0916 745 5243. Difficult for taxi drivers to find, hence phone number might come in handy. Liza (owner) can talk to your taxi driver on your cellphone and direct him to her place. I do not remember prices but they were not high , more than reasonable, except Ladies Drinks which were P150 each. When I called 30/40 attractive girls, nice atmosphere and cheap beer (Think it was P50 ). They have grope lounge areas and girls are bar fineable, P1500. I would put this place in the top five bars of Cebu City (Actually Mandaue, an extension of Cebu City). Definitely worth visiting. If it was situated anywhere near Viking-Black Hole GoGo strip, the Viking-Black folks would get a run for their money. No pole/gogo dancing at Liza's but better girls (personal opinion) and better atmosphere. Note : 'Pirate' is closed Sundays.

Pirate is the best bar in Mandaue (for me). A well kept secret until I stumbled onto  it : )

Club Harem :

Note : There has been a change of ownership and a name change. I visited the place last trip and wrote name down, then lost it. Very short, strange name. Taxi drivers still know it as Club Harem. Approx P125 taxi ride to get there. Sundays might be closed (?). 

Girls not as good as with previous owners. Even so, maybe worth a trip out there and check for yourself.

Some very brief nudity, only some.  P100 entrance, P100 beer, and P300 ladies drink. Did not see any girl there worth P300 LD. Presume bar fining would be available at silly prices. Currently, basically a pinoy (filipino male) place, and thus be on your best behaviour. I will not be returning, unless I hear standard of girls has improved to something like it was with previous owners. 

Others .....

There are lots of other dingy/sleazy, native style places in Mandaue. Not so safe as the two mentioned above. Watch your behaviour in these 'Other' places, catering for the local filipino boys.

No intention of returning to the following places, hence info might be out of date now : 

Sunrise Angels Bar : At the 45min mark, on of my earlier trips (before I discovered 'Pirate' Bar) I'd had enough perving, exited Harem and checked out "Sunrise Angels Bar", a little distance from Harem, in A.C. Cortez St, Mandaue City. No entrance fee, Beer P60, Ladies Drink P260 (ridiculous) and take out all night P4000 (ridiculous). 80% of them are only worth P1000. There were two exceptions, one was a P1500 gal, the other a P2000 gal (looker). When you call, who knows which girls will be there. Might be absent of all lookers, no one knows. Well basically this is a 'native' joint with average looking babes who would fuck better than the Harem ones at a guess. Harem ones most probably have an opinion of themselves (beautiful). Sunrise : Tiny little stage, furnishings of entire place would have cost no more than $1000 at a guess. Not bad for a 'native' experience : )

Next door to Angels there are two more 'native' bars, didnt try them, would be similar to Angels methinks. There are also other 'native' style bars scattered around Mandaue City. Better to be with a friend or a filipino (guy) as escort. You just never know : )
