Angeles , as stated before, is primarily a go-go bar/show club town, but there is some other nightlife activity too. Even so, come prepared to fulfill your 'meat inspection' duties. (Boobs, Legs, backside, face & so on). There is a lot of fresh and tender 'meat' to be tasted. You can have them : 'rare' (young) , 'medium'(just right) or 'well done' (boilers .. in the back streets) . It's up to you. Full on whoring at its debauched best and nothing much in between. Daytime is spent by the pool , recharging the batteries for the next evenings onslaught.

I call Angeles the best Supermarket of Sex in the Philippines. That is 'wall to wall' Show Places/GoGo's. Manila has more sex venues , but spread out. Angeles , you can walk from one to the other , and there's heaps.

When to go : Some girls return to their home province during xmas holiday period , but not enough to make it a problem for you. New Years Eve and following day some girls might be absent too.

Say March would be the end of high season .. April to say August low season , roughly (June and July wet season) .... September punters start to return in droves ..... October to Feb/March most would consider high season. Maybe some of the better looking chicks who earn good money , opt out in June/July , I dont know , and dont think anyone else knows either. But it makes sense if a looker wants to have a break ... June/July , with less customers around , would be the time to have it. Regardless of the time of the year , Angeles is never quiet. Go when it suits you.

Scams :

Be wary of scams usually involving underage girls and almost always scams ex Street Hookers. Viz : legal age babe enters your room with you , she texts an underage girl , who arrives knocking at your door. On entering , she asks if she can take a shower. Whilst nude in the shower another knock on the door .. police this time and it will cost you very big money to extricate yourself from this situation. Many scams , many variations. Spoiling the reputation of Angeles somewhat.

But dont let this scare you. It happens , but not every day of the week. How do I know ? I don't , but reports of this kind of behaviour are the exception , not the rule. Just be wary of the possibility of being set up in some way.

If in doubt about a girls age , give her a miss. Do not let any suspiciously young looking girls into your room or it could cost you P100,000 in police bribes. Could be less , and yes , could be more , depending on your bargaining skills.

This not only happens with Freelance girls but can , in the extreme cases , happen with Bar girls too. Heard of a story involving a bar girl. It was thought at the time the bar was in on it too. Some of the small , less successful bars do not make enough money , so they are tempted to resort to scams , using their girls. Stick with the major players and you should be right , although nothing can be guaranteed in this regard.

It's simple : keep away from suspiciously young looking girls and never let them in your room , it could be a set up and cost you lots of anquish and money. Keep away from small unpopular bars , they might scam you to get a cash flow. In general , Angeles is safe , if you use common sense. Nothing has ever happened to me there , but then I am Thommo : )

Personal Security :

Take normal precautions , viz , do not walk around early hours of morning in empty streets. Stay with other pedestrians , get home before streets empty out. Only take a nights anticipated cash with you. Avoid 'bling' , expensive looking bracelets or watches etc. The people are desperately poor compared to us , do not tempt them. In many years of going to and fro Philippines I have never been robbed , but then I am 'street wise' , and practise what I preach : )

Koreans : Have invaded the Philippines , including Angeles City. Over the years I watched the Japanese invasion and consequent increase in prices. Eventually the Japanese gave up on the Philippines (ripped off , imprisoned , murdered). Hope the unfriendly , ill mannered , koreans give up on Phils too : ) Small number of bars in Angeles are 'Korean only'. When you peep your head in the door , you'll know : ) Fortunately , not many of them at this point of time. Preference is given to them by management and some girls , for their renowned small penis and big money.

Butterfly Problem - Angeles is a small town , in that its not hard to bump into the same girl , somewhere somehow. The girlie places are everywhere , most conveiently located next to each other. So be patient and choose wisely cause it will be difficult to a take a second girl out from the same bar without being branded a 'butterfly' by the first girl. Although with the passage of time and sophistication , this is not a major factor nowadays. Experienced girls do not care so much , unless you look like Brad Pitt , its the younger newer girls who have to learn the hard way .... we come to Phils to shag , not to fall in love with one girl. There are two strips to consider :

1. Fields Avenue ...

This is where prices can be a little higher , and you have a better chance of finding 'lookers'. A lot of them open till the early hours of the morning (5am) , later than Thailand for example. A small number are open 24/7. Myself I would be wary of such places cause why do they have to open such long hours ? Cant get the customers ?.

Average Prices - Your Drink P95/125 (can be less at some places) ; Ladies Drink P150 and up (can be less or more at some places , eg P250 or even more at the big bars). Make sure girl is ordering a "single" drink and not a 'double' (= double price ... San Mig Light beer is considered a double , at some places: ) ; Bar Fine .. Field Avenue area : P1300/1500 on average. Nowadays , more likely the latter fig. Small number of bars exceed this , especially if one of their special girls (Spotlight girl) is involved. Spotlight girl can command P3000 bar fine some times. The Bar Fine is an all inclusive cost for the girl. Girl gets half of the bar fine when she returns to the bar next day. Show places usually cost more than non show places. They've got a hundred or more girls to pay , hence higher overheads = higher prices.

Even though the barfine is an all inclusive price , the girls appreciate a tip the next morning of course. But only if she made a sincere effort to make you happy , otherwise no tip .. its not obligatory , its always "up to you" and based on whether you had a good night with the girl or not. P200 or P3/500 tip is customary. She keeps all of the tip. Dont forget she also gets one third of ladies drinks you bought for her. Do not tip starfish/robots , but you wont find many of them , especially when your dealing with naturally sexy Phil girls : )

Angeles has a significant number of Cherry Girls/Virgins on stage. Make sure your not pumping a lot of Ladies Drinks into a youngun who has no intention of being barfined , or if barfined is going to tell you back at the room she is a virgin. Confirm before paying barfine that the girl is not a cherry/virgin. Drunk as you may be , do not force the issue with cherry girls. The odd foreigner is spending many years in jail following a complaint of rape. Yes hookers who complain of rape have just as good a chance of winning the case as any other girl. It's highly unlikely a Phil (or Thai for that matter) girl will lose a rape case.

Usual precautions with the girls, as explained in Thai notes and Manila notes. Note - Philippine girls do not insist on condoms. Consequently Chlamydia etc is rife in Angeles and elsewhere. Use condoms , so you can ride again another day. I am no Doctor , but guys tell me x 1 500mg capsule of Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) will knock it on the head. Make sure your not allergic to anitibiotics before taking same. Readily available at any Angeles Pharmacy without prescription. Not necessarily so in other cities , where you might need a prescription (doubtful). Google it for directions , side effects etc. Just use condoms : )

Popular Places - If you asked five guys to list the top five bars , each list would most probably be different from the other. New places pop up and knock out the established top ones for a while and then might even disappear. Established popular ones might have a change of Management, and business dives. It's a plus for the Philippines. No two trips of yours will be the same. Girls move on , disappear within a 6/12months time frame , normally. Always exceptions , especially with the ugly ones ... "Oh its you again" says the fugly as you step in the door : )

Eight years down the track (2010) I have decided to delete my list of popular bars. Too much change re popularity/value etc. Just pop your head inside a bar , and if you like what you see , enter have one drink , exit if not for you , onto the next ineteresting bar. Big bars sometimes have bigger prices , especially the Show Bars where the girls put on a titillating show of sorts. You will know a show bar when you poke your head in the door. Anyway , one drink will not bust the bank. Atlantis , Crystal Palace , Forbidden City for example , are well known show places , with a hundred or more girls on their books.

If you want to barfine a Spotlight girl at a Show Place , they will cost double the normal bar fine that is , P3000 to take away from the bar. Even if she promises long time LT , she might do a runner , and head back to the bar to see if she can secure another P3000 bar fine. As she climbs off you she says "It's Show Time" , and out the door she goes : ) Word has it , these girls make enough out of their higher salary and ladies drinks commissions , that they are fussy with who they go with. And they expect a higher than normal tip P500 absolute minimum (for an average performance) to P1000 (for a good experience). For Angeles , not a cheap experience. Watch for attitude , some of them think they should be pandered and treated like a movie star : ) Tell waitress which girl on stage you are interested in , she will laser beam her , girl comes off stage , order a P150 Ladies Drink to test run her (beware of other drinks P300/P450). If the vibes/karma is not there , thank her for her time , and try again. If she is not nice to you inside the bar/show place , she will be less nice outside it , you can be sure of that.

YOU decide if she is special/spotlight. Waitresses in the same places are sometimes bar fineable. If not there is a possibility you can meet next day and shag before she starts work. Your cellphone number is handy in this area. Do not let a mama-san or waitress decide who is going to be your companion. Chances are person recommending gets a commission from girl she recommends. Or is a close friend whatever.

2. Second Bar Strip ....

Perimeter Bars.

These are a little bit scattered , not compact like Fields. Also some open in the afternoon , closing usually around 1am. So you can take them as an afternoon , early evening bar , cause most punters 7pm on head for the abovementioned Fields Bars. Even so , lots of guys prefer the fun at Perimeter , whether its afternoon or evening. Less commercial , less pricey at Permimeter Bars.

Perimeter road bars : Bar Fine P1000/1200 on average , Ladies Drink (Perimeter) P100 on average. Girl gets half of the bar fine when she returns to the bar next day. Your drink is around P60.

Lookers a bit harder to find. Quality down a bit sometimes , but more relaxed atmosphere. A fair distance from Fields , say P50/75 by trike taxi , or P6/8 by jeepney.

Worth having a look. Significant lot of more experienced , or resident punters prefer Perimeters. Tourist/1st Timers will be more excited with Fields Ave Show Places.

Klub Class and Sky Trax (P120 entrance ?) Disco's are a few short doors from each other on Fields Avenue (Thanks 'Worm' Field Report : ). Once again , be wary if your approaching a hooker , or a regular girl , and/or a girl with a companion who just might be in the loo at the time you spot her. Sky Track is 98% Filipinos says 'Worm' , so I would tread very warily there , maybe only look. Guys and girls there would be very wary of foreigners there cause Angeles foreigners are considered whoremongers only , so if you behaved towards a girl like she was a pick up/hooker , you could be in trouble (and big time). Even the hookers do not like being treated like hookers , in the Philippines. And for good reason , they treat you as their boyfriend , not their 'customer'.

2. A. Santos Street (Blow Row) is noted for its Blow Job Bars. Maybe 3/5 or so low cost bars close to each other , nowadays. A small number of girls in each place , say 5/7 girls , some less. A BJ is P600/700. It's not hard to have sex thrown in for that price either. Must be a reason ? They are not lookers , thats why : ) Black Pearl BJ Bar gets a good mention sometimes. There's also , Gobblers , Heavens Bar. But names can change. Other 'activities' in the street also. P1000/1200 if you want to long time any one of these girls away from the bar. May 2010 , I did not see anything I would want anywhere near my cock or my hotel room : ) Suggest at night time you do not proceed beyond the buildings in A. Santos St. Can get a bit dicey down there at night. Be wary of transvestites patrolling this street. They are inclined to scam you in some way.

Location (of Blow Row) : Exiting Kokomo's on the corner of Fields & A.Santos Sts , turn left into A.Santos St. Located say 30/40mtrs down on right hand side. Some Freelancers (street walkers) plying their trade here for a discount price BJ at P200 (presumably in your room) if your lucky , or P4/500 ST. ST would be better value cause you should be able to get a bj with that. Watch out for she-men (transvestites). And watch your valuables if you take a Blow Row or Freelancer girl back to your room. Never take an underage looking one , you could be set up for a P100,000 Police bribe.

3. Massage Activity - Pal of mine advises me there is one called "Underwater Karaoke & Massage Parlour" in Fields Avenue, P300 for one and a half hours (no sex). Don't expect anything like Thailand though : ) Others I have heard about : Palace Massage in Don Juico Avenue , and You & I Massage on First Avenue. There is another one called Roman Massage for P1000-1500 (includes sex). Do not expect much of a massage scene in Angeles (or anywhere else in Phils for that matter). Go to Thailand for that : )

4. Margarita Station (see Restaurant Section) is known to be a Freelance (FL) spot and a place where you can meet other 'practitioners' (whoremongers) , including those resident in Angeles. However the Freelancers who hang around playing pool etc in this place are usually older than the Go-Go/Show girls. Also Kokomo's Restaurant has some FL's , if not inside the place then outside , walking past on Fields Avenue. You can sit at a 15 metre long strip bar overlooking Fields drinking beer and "psst psst" one that you fancy. Note : Not all girls passing by are hookers : )

5. Freelancers roam up and down the streets :

Note , it is not advisable to take these girls nowadays. Some are working scams in cahoots with the Police which will cost you a lot of money to get out of. Not worth the risk.

Curious ? ..... they are located in ..... Raymond Street ; Real Street ; and Fields Ave. STD's and the likelihood of theft from your room increases when you are dealing with these ladies. One of FL's pluses - Budget Rates , viz No Bar Fines or Ladies Drinks : ST (Short Time) P100 (pretty terrible girl : ) to P500..... LT (Long Time) 500/1000. Naturally they are not normally attractive , older etc. Budget sex at its best , provided you don't catch something (STD , or worse , HIV) and your valuables are not left lying around in your room. Note - They might not be allowed into certain Hotels if 1. They have no ID 2. They are known to be 'trouble'.
