Angeles , as stated before, is primarily a go-go town, but there is some other nightlife activity too. Even so, come prepared to fulfill your 'meat inspection' duties. (Boobs, Legs, backside, face & so on). There is a lot of fresh and tender 'meat' to be tasted. You can have them : 'rare' (young) , 'medium'(just right) or 'well done' (boilers) . It's up to you. Full on whoring at its debauched best and nothing much in between. Daytime is spent by the pool, recharging the batteries for the next evenings onslaught.

SCAMS :

Be wary of scams usually involving underage girls. Viz : legal age babe enters your room with you , she texts an underage girl , who arrives knocking at your door. On entering , she asks if she can take a shower. Whilst nude in the shower another knock on the door .. police this time and it will cost you very big money to extricate yourself from this situation. Many scams , many variations. Spoiling the reputation of Angeles somewhat.

If in doubt about a girls age , give her a miss. Do not let any suspiciously young looking girls into your room or it could cost you P100,000 in police bribes. Could be less , and yes , could be more , depending on your bargaining skills.

This not only happens with Freelance girls but can happen with Bar girls too. Heard of a story involving a La Pasha Bar girl. It was thought at the time the bar was in on it too. Some of the small , less successful bars do not make enough money , so they are tempted to resort to scams , using their girls. Stick with the major players and you should be right , although nothing can be guaranteed in this regard.

It's simple : keep away from suspiciously young looking girls and never let them in your room , it could be a set up and cost you lots of anquish and money. Keep away from small unpopular bars , they might scam you to get a cash flow : )

KOREANS : Have invaded the Philippines , including Angeles City. Over the years I watched the Japanese invasion and increase in prices. Eventually they gave up on the Philippines (ripped off , imprisoned , murdered). Butterfly Problem - Angeles is a small town. The Go-Go's are literally wall to wall. So be patient and choose wisely cause it will be difficult to a take a second girl out from the same bar without being branded a 'butterfly' by the first girl. See previous notes on this subject, mainly in Thailand sector. Filipino's can suffer from 'loss of face' , but its not as big a deal as it is in Thailand. One thing in your favour, whilst in Angeles, there are plenty of bars to butterfly in . Some commercially minded lad should call his Bar the "Butterfly Bar", then we could butterfly , without shame/recourse : )

Average Prices - Your Drink P85/95 (can be less at some places) ; Ladies Drink P175/195 (can be less at some places) ; Bar Fine P1350 on average. Higher prices usually refer to Fields Ave Bars. Lower prices refers to other bars including the less popular/established bars. The Bar Fine is an all inclusive cost for the girl. Confirm this before you leave the bar. However, the girls do expect a tip for a good overnight performance. So , if you were impressed , tip her anything from P200 to P3/500 , especially if the BF was less than P1350. Girls cut of BF = P500 on average. However , if she was a slack effort, give her nothing. When you paid the barfine , you already paid for her services , so only tip if she was good to you. Dont forget she already got a cut from the ladies drinks you bought her too. Do not encourage mediocrity , by tipping 'robot services' , but as always, its really "up to you" : )

Angeles has a significant number of Cherry Girls/Virgins on stage. Make sure your not pumping a lot of Ladies Drinks into a youngun who has no intention of being barfined , or if barfined is going to tell you back at the room she is a virgin. Popular Bars - If you asked five guys to list the top five bars , each list would most probably be different from the other. New bars pop up and knock out the established top ones for a while and then might even disappear. Established popular ones might have a change of Management, and business dives. It's a plus for the Philippines. No two trips are the same. Here is a short list of some of the well known and popular bars. You will no doubt have your own list before you leave town. We would like to hear how you rate them, plus prices etc.

In random order (Fields Ave Bars) :

1. Blue Nile Club/Executive. Lots of good lookers , popular. Note : Korean orientated bar nowadays.

2. Champagne , Fields Avenue. German management. Consistently one of the top bars.

3. Private Dancer (formerly Illusions) , c/r Fields and Santos, nice atmosphere.

4. Nero's Forum , Fields Ave. Good. Some say 'lookers' do runners , don't know. 'Lookers' can be a problem anywhere : )

5. Dollhouse , lots of girls. Geared for tourists. Watch your bills/chits etc.

Other popular ones : Lollipop ; Carousel ; Voodoo.

Following info 'second hand' , not personally collected :

1. "Pick Up Bar & Disco" - Well , the name says it all : ) Located in Real Street , next to Midnight Rodeo. Freelancers abound , although not necessarily all of the girls here are of the pick up variety, tread warily.

2. A. Santos Street (Blow Row) is noted for its Blow Job Bars. Being invaded by re-development nowadays , crowding out the bj bars. Maybe 5/7 bars (little shacks) close to each other. A small number of girls in each place , say 5/7 girls , some less. A BJ is P600. Black Pearl BJ Bar gets a good mention sometimes. But names can change. Other 'activities' in the street also. P1000 if you want to long time any one of these girls. Suggest at night time you do not proceed beyond Wild Orchard Hotel , which is on the other side of the road. Gets a bit dicey down there at night. Be wary of transvestites patrolling this street. Location (Blow Row) : Exiting Kokomo's on the corner of Fields & Santos Sts , turn left into Santos St. All action is on the right side nowadays. Some Freelancers (street walkers) plying their trade here too at P200 for a blow job sometimes , if your lucky , or P4/500 ST. ST would be better value cause you should be able to get a bj with that. Watch out for she-men (transvestites). And watch your valuables if you take a Blow Row girl back to your room.

3. Massage Activity - Pal of mine advises me there is one called "Underwater Karaoke & Massage Parlour" in Fields Avenue, P300 for one and a half hours. Don't expect anything like Thailand though : ) Others I have heard about : Palace Massage in Don Juico Avnue , and You & I Massage on First Avenue. Do not expect much of a massage scene in Angeles. Go to Thailand for that : )

4. Margarita Station (see Restaurant Section) is known to be a Freelance spot and a place where you can meet other 'practitioners' (whoremongers) , including those resident in Angeles. However the Freelancers who hang around playing pool etc in this town are usually older than the Go-Go girls. Also Kokomo's Restaurant for FL's.

5. Freelancers roam up and down the streets : Raymond Street ; Real Street ; Fields Ave & at the Pick Up Bar/Disco (see above) . STD's and the likelihood of theft from your room increases when you are dealing with these ladies. One of their pluses - Budget Rates , viz No Bar Fines or Ladies Drinks : ST (Short Time) P100 to 500..... LT (Long Time) 500/1000. Budget sex at its best , provided you don't catch something (STD) and your valuables are not left lying around in your room. Note - They might not be allowed into certain Hotels if 1. They have no ID 2. Are known to be 'trouble'.

6. Be wary of entering Filipino/pinoy (male) populated night spots. We foreigners have 'taken over' their town and most probably screw their favourite girls from time to time too. When the local boys have the numbers on their side, and are drunk they could be a risk. Leave them to themselves, as they normally do us.

7. Perimeter Bars.

In general these bars are cheaper and more laid back than the Fields Ave Bars.

"These are bars that a lot of expats go to between 3pm to midnight. Quality is not as good as Fields, but less bullshit from the girls. They are about two miles away from Fields area. You just stay on the same road as Fields (going away from McArthur) It is a P50/70 trike ride.

Recommend: Club Rio, Nifty, Thigh hi and Gentlemen Club. Bf are700-800p". Note : BF has most prob gone up since then , but still cheaper than Fields.

If you still have some 'juice' left in the tank ,and whilst still in the Angeles area ,you might like to take a side trip to the following towns.

By bus from the Swagman Hotel it takes about 2 hrs and P300 to get there. Accommodation in Barrio Baretto , cause its the last to shut down at night. Possibly try 'Playa Papagayo's' for budget accom. Subic City nightlife closes down at an unearthly 10pm . So, you can get your lady at Subic by 10pm and head home to BB or you can continue your hunt in BB till late. Subic is 'action central' betweeen 2pm and 10pm. There are a number of places, maybe 10 in all , including about three go-go's. "Tahiti" seems the most popular as far as go-go go's. Average all up/inclusive Bar Fine LT P1000 or less ; ST 500 (1hr).

Barrio Baretto : no go-go bars , but a number of venues , and a number of them are called 'Midnight' this or that. Small place , you will find them. BB rages till late. This area is worth only a short stay.

Now we give our eyes a rest from meat inspections, and scuttle down to Cebu and Davao to see what they have got to offer. Certainly not wall to wall go-go's, like Angeles City. You can rest from your 'inspectors duties', to a certain extent, but in reality there is never any rest for the purist whorist. Only when you get to WH can you truly rest.
